Creating the concept of Dream Dinners in her home kitchen, Stephanie Allen, a working mother, began making fix-and-freeze meals for her family in 1986. She has since become known as a pioneer and visionary in the fix-and-freeze and meal assembly industry.
Allen utilized her 18 years of business and catering experience to refine the process and to create efficiency. Continuing to develop her own collection of specialized recipes enabled her to strategically grow the Dream Dinners franchise.
For Stephanie, owning a successful catering business set her up to become a leader in the food industry and allowed her to better understand consumer needs, menu selections and products that she says “satisfy their needs.”
Driven by her passion to help her friends, neighbors and families across the nation come together around the dinner table, Allen has used personal experience and practical innovation to create and grow the Dream Dinners franchise. More than a decade has come and gone, but Allen is still directly involved with food development in the brand she helped to launch.
Stephanie introduced her longtime friend Tina Kuna to the fix-and-freeze model of food preparation in 1996 to help with her busy family schedule. After spending nearly 20 years establishing her as a business industry expert across the Pacific Northwest, Tina joined Dream Dinners in 2002 to direct the franchise’s financial and business strategy.
According to Stephanie, Tina’s diverse background and extensive experience in business helped to launch Dream Dinners. Tina has “the vision for hiring quality people, striving for excellence and streamlining the processes,” which has contributed greatly to the decade-long success of the Dream Dinners franchise.
Tina has taken the success of Dream Dinners to the next level with the creation of the Living the Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed the hungry both locally and abroad. Accomplishing their goal through fundraising bike rides and franchisee hosted food packing events, the Living the Dream Foundation is looking to feed the hungry one child at a time.
Becoming a Dream Dinners franchisee isn’t just about becoming a business owner, it’s about so much more. Dream Dinners franchisees have the opportunity to give back to their community’s families by helping busy mothers and fathers provide healthy and regular in-home meals, enabling them to experience many of the tangible benefits of eating family meals.
